Schoolboy Q is a member of the rap group, Black Hippy, alongside Kendrick Lamar. Like Kendrick Lamar and SZA, Schoolboy Q is signed to Top Dawg Entertainment. On his third studio album, Oxymoron, Schoolboy Q included “Hoover Street.” The song explores many topics, ranging from Schoolboy Q’s family dynamics all the way to weapons used by local gangs. “Hoover Street,” is the last song that I included that used “The Champ,” as a sample. Amazingly, all 4 of these songs, which sample “The Champ,” sound immensely different.
