When Harriet Tubman was struck in the head by an iron weight, thrown by an overseer, she was never sent to medical attention. Her master did not think she was worth to see a doctor, which lead to Harriet wearing a headscarf all the time. While working, Harriet would bleed form her head and not stop working until her eyes were covered in blood.
