Description:
This coup was a series of assassinations that were nationalistic and militaristic that were designed and set up to over throw the government. On July 12, a member of the Falange murdered Jose Castillo who was a lieutenant in the Assault Guards Police Force. He was a socialist. The next day the guards arrested Jose Calvo Soleto, they were going to arrest Gil-Robles but he could not be found. The guards shot and killed Soleto. These deaths gave the nationsalists even more reason to comtinunte with their planned coup.Ajouté au bande de temps:
