Description:

Caesar followed to Brundisium. prior to this, Caesar frequently proposed to Pompey to both "Sheathe their swords", Pompey kept refusing. Caesar tried to trap Pompey in Brundisium by blocking up the harbour mouth. Pompey escaped, fleeing by sea to Epirus, leaving Caesar in complete command of Italy.
