Jose Antonio Primo de Rivera created this political organization on this date in 1932. He was the son of former dictator Miguel Primo de Rivera. The Falange Espanola was an extreme nationalist political group that didn't agree with the Republican constitution in Spain at the time. They created a manifesto with 27 points, counterclaiming certain ideals like capitalism and marxism. The members of this party increasingly gained popularity, at the expense of the conservatives and roman Catholics on the right side. The Falangists came to an end when there was a military uprising against the Spanish republic in 1936 and several of their leaders, including Primo de Rivera, were executed. The Falangists had an ideology that would eventually be adopted by General Franco.
