Description:

Due to the splitting up of the left, the right would come into power during the 1933 election under the CEDA and their leader Robles. They made it a goal to reform the policies made by the previous government since they disagreed with it, and also to imprison many left wing leaders. This angered the left side and lead to protest of the new government. The new government would use force to end these protests regularly. This made the left side even more frustrated towards the new government, and it made them scared that if Spain stayed under control of this government it would turn into a fascist dictatorship like Germany or Italy. This is important to the timeline because it created even more resentment towards the two sides due to how the right treated the left during their time in control of the government.
