Description:

The telephone was in invention of the Scottish inventor Alexander Graham Bell who thought up the idea because of his fascination of sound because his mother was deaf.
His original idea was to travel sound waves down a telegraph wire.
Other inventions like this were also thought up but Bell was the first to have it patented.
The first words spoken over the telephone were to Bell's assistant Watson, and he said, "Mr Watson, come here, i want to see you."
