One June 15, 2018 on 7:00 pm started an addiction that has not faded but has grown stronger. This addiction is listening to K-POP. I was first introduced to k-pop by my 8th grade classmates. At first I opposed it, I would make fun of them and blurt out racist and derogatory statements about their "faves". Long term exposure to people with K-POP interest lowered my hatred for them, and to give it a chance I started listening to it. I was hooked when I heard BLACKPINK's Du-DDu-Du-Ddu song teaser. Before this I had a playlist with a handful of K-POP songs but I wasn't fully into them.... yet. I knew my addiction started when I sat on my chair and refreshed the Youtube page to find the music video for BLACKPINK. Then, I spent a good one hour and thirty minutes listening, watching and being mesmerized by the music video.
