The Harlem Globetrotters was a basketball team that originated in Chicago. The team was invented in 1926 and they still exist but they only show where they perform their basketball skills. The team at first was an all African American team with the team owner being Abe Saperstein. The Harlem Globetrotters experimented by adding comedy to their games, this led to more spectators coming to watch them play. This team had one of the biggest influences on the game in terms of spectators as to date the Globetrotters have showcased their talent in front of 144 million fans in over 100 countries.
