24 avr. 1916 - Easter Rising
Description:
A group of Irish nationalists, along with 1,600 followers, staged a rebellion against the British government.
The rebels seized important buildings, and within a week, more than 2,000 people were dead or injured.
The public did not support the rising, and in less than a week, the rebels were taken over.
Eventually, though, the public's opinion shifted and the rebels were hailed as martyrs.
