Description:
It was worked out by the South and North and was later passed by the Congress. That gave Missouri the admission as the 24th state. It was the beginning of the South and North fighting over slavery and eventually led to the Civil War. In all it was an effort by the government to maintain a balance between the South and North.Photo Description:
