13 déc. 1972 - Wiri Park West - announced
Description:
Manukau City Council approves plans by the Wiri Village consortium for an innovative medium-rise, high-density 55-acre 'rental village' to house 4500 people at Wiri. Soon afterwards, however, the consortium sells its land to the Government, which combines it with an adjoining block of land owned by the Ministry of Works to develop a more conventional low-cost subdivision. This is initially known as Wiri Park West.
