1 janv. 1829 - Typewriter
Description:
The typewriter was a invention used in the Industrial Revolution. It was patented by William Austin Burt and was known as a "typographer." Despite it's apparent breaking of new ground, it proved to be much slower than hand written because the typewriter needed a dial rather than keys to select each character. The lack of improvement over handwriting doomed William's invention and he and his promoter, John D. Sheldon never found a buyer for the patent.
