Description:

In 1850 Henry Clay and Stephen Douglas make yet another compromise. Like the Missouri Compromise it pushes the issue of slavery back to another date. In this Compromise it prevented expansion of slavery in the North as well as enforced the Fugitive Slave Act which forced Northerners to capture and return escaped slaves to their owners in the south.
