Description:
Korea had been divided into two independent countries by the US and Soviet Union at the Yalta conference. The Soviets installed a communist government in the North while the US provided smaller amounts of aid to non communist South Korea. North Korea had invaded the South. Truman never actually declared an official an official declaration of war.The war itself would cost 30 billion dollars in military spending.
