At this point both sides had signed a cease-fire. It occurred because on the United States new president Dwight D. Eisenhower; he talked with enemy troops and tried to find peace. There was peace, but not much changed except how expensive the spending was for miliary and for the congressional deceleration of war which Truman did not have before entering himself in the war. The Asian version of NATO formed, which is called SEATO.
