4 févr. 1945 - Yalta Conference

Description:

Decided that Korea was going to be divided, North would be communist and south would not. The dividing line was set at the 38th parallel of latitude, each side being controlled by either the US or the Soviets. The UN Security Council agreed to provide aid to South Korea, which the Soviet Union did not have a say in because they boycotted the sessions due to the UN not seating the People's Republic of China.
