Description:

- Day 646
- Jesus introduces Maggie to Earl Sutton, the Hilltop's blacksmith and the only person who calls Jesus 'Paul', as his nickname is disrespectful. Earl kisses Maggie's hand and Jesus informs her that everything metal here is made by Earl. He wants him to make Maggie a small knife, just in case seen as there are a lot of people in the Hilltop. Earl gladly obliges. Jesus has a meeting with Kal and then has to leave, Earl asks when he was meant to be meeting Kal, because he left about forty-five minutes ago. Jesus realises why. Jesus sets off on horseback to stop Kal from warning the Saviors, or they're all dead.
- Rick tells Eugene the plan and that making bullets is absolutely essential if they're going to war. Eugene hadn't considered that his bullets would kill human beings.
- Rick gathers Carl, Andrea, Michonne, Aaron and Heath for the supply run. He tells them they're not going on a run, but rather to the Kingdom.
- Jesus arrives at the Hilltop's meeting point for drop offs. Kal heard him coming a mile away and tells him to leave before throwing a spear which Jesus snaps. Kal comes out and tells him he's ending the war before it starts and that Jesus is playing with people's lives by getting them all on board with the conflict. Jesus reminds him that the Saviors killed David, Andy and Crystal to keep them scared (see day 586).
- He asks how long ago Kal sent off the flare and just then a group of four Saviors arrive, lead by Connor. Connor tells them he was reading and demands to know why they're meeting. Kal stumbles over his words so Jesus butts in and lies that their offering is going to be light because they're not making enough food. Connor tells them the drop off is nine days away and kicks Jesus in the groin for wasting his time before leaving.
- Kal changes his mind and figures if there's a way to change things, it's worth trying. Jesus wishes he'd thought of that before almost getting them both killed and rides home alone.
