1 janv. 1943 - Tehran Conference/Ending Scene

Description:

In 1943, Franklin Roosevelt, Winston Churchill, and Joseph Stalin all meet to decide how to end WWII. Despite their harsh ideological differences, they compromise on how to best destroy Hitler's forces. Orwell represents this at the end of Animal Farm, with Napoleon and human farmers playing poker and talking about business. As other farm animals looked in at the pigs and humans, "it was impossible to say which was which" (Orwell 93). This is to say that although they were once mortal enemies, the pig is now acting the same as the men. Besides representing the USSR acting the same as other Allied forces, it serves to display how the communist regime has become just as oppressive and awful as before (when Jones was still in charge).
