10 nov 1963 - Frederick Vine and Drummond Matthews discovered magnetic striping on the ocean floor. Studies started to show that the magnetic poles switch over time. On the ocean floor there are magnetic stripes, and they show when there was a normal or reversed magnetic pole. I used article 5.
