10 nov 1929 - Arthur Holmes discovered mantle convection currents. Holmes proposed the theory of convection currents in Earth. He observed when things heated they become less dense and rose, as they go up the cool and become more dense and sink. he believed this pressure could crack and move the continents. I used article 3.
