Description:

- Day 648
- Rick's group return to the Safe-Zone and are let in by Olivia who tells them Negan's here. Denise runs over and tells them about Spencer's murder (see day 647). Rick goes to handle this on his own.
- He yells at Negan about them having an agreement Negan welcomes Rick and would shake his hand but he's been playing pool for three hours and his shoulder kills. Rick demands to know what happened. Negan refrains from his usual profanity to state how serious he is right now, he refuses to say another word until Rick says "thank you, Negan". Rick tells him to explain himself or he won't leave alive. Negan laughs and explains that while their relationship started with him beating one of his friend's heads in (see day 594) and they'll never share their darkest secrets, he believes he has bent over backwards in showing Rick how reasonable he can be.
- He reminds Rick that he brought Carl home safe and sound after he killed several of his men (see day 603). So next time someone like Spencer asks him to kill Rick and put him in charge (see day 647) he might go through with it.
- Rick shows him all the supplies they have come back with. Negan decides to let Rick keep it all as payment for the traitor. Rick insists he take half of it. While the Saviors load up the supplies, Rick sees an opportunity and runs inside to Andrea who is mourning Spencer. He tells her to get over the wall and into the bell tower within ten minutes because Negan is here with eight guys, this is their best chance to kill him.
- Ten minutes later, Negan leaves in his truck. Instead of closing the gate, Rick and his group chase after Negan as Andrea snipes the driver from the bell tower. The Saviors come out and Seth is shot by Rick. The others are ordered not to move. Negan hides around the side of the truck. Rick taunts him and is about to shoot him in the head when he himself is shot through the hand. Holly, Heath and Nicholas are also disarmed.
- Negan lectures Rick about pushing him to his breaking point. He tells him that they do in fact have guns, but save them for living people rather than the dead. His visits are sometimes off by a day or two. Organising ten people to do pickups is easy, however the backup team takes a bit more time. Just then over a dozen more Saviors reveal themselves from the surrounding buildings. Rick is fucked.
