Turning Point:
This would be a turning point because after the fall of Rome the land would be split to thousands of independent Germanic Barbarian groups and no one would keep allies.
Decline:
This would be decline because after Ancient Rome collapsing life would just be so terrible that it would be difficult to just find some food to feed your family. The land would be split into thousands of barbarian groups and wars would rage all around Europe. Peace would never be a thing for hundreds of years.
