Description:
Founded in London, England the society worked to educate the public on the evils of slavery. The group printed anti-slavery pamphlets, held education rallies, held speaking events with former slaves, and petitioned the British House of Commons to outlaw the slave trade. After the slave trade was abolished, the organization began working to completely end the practice of slavery.
