Description:
I purchased a T-shirt from H&M at Masonville mall in London, Ontario. H&M is a Swedish multinational clothing-retail company that operates in 62 countries. The majority of H&M clothes are from Bangladesh, but it also sources clothes from other countries such as China, India, and Cambodia, my particular item was made in Bangladesh. This is an example of environmental globalization as well as economic. First, poor countries like Bangladesh that made my shirt, become industrialized and are used by richer countries for the low labour prices. Second, the low cost and widespread availability makes the making of my shirt affordable and the poor countries are not bennitting greatly from the trade while rich ones are.
