- Rafael, a former soldier, pilot and drug dealer for the biggest cartels in the USA is given a ten year sentence in prison for not wanting to snitch on the cartels he worked for.
- He is sent to a prison on the island of Ile De La Lumiére twenty miles off the coast of Guantanamo, Cuba.
- He would remain in prison for seven-hundred and sixty-seven days before the global outbreak sent the world into chaos and then a further one-thousand and fifty-eight days before he is forced to evacuate the island (see day 1058).
