Description:

thew foam postie one was first released with an outstanding price of 180$. the new sneaker was the new technology of the way basket ball was changing. the new giving with an hard shell gave sneaker-heads futuristic look many hope to achieve today. the foam postie one was nothing g like another sneaker on the market, as it was designed after a beetle. one this that made the sneaker so in credible was the fact that penny hard away practically adopted the shoe. wearing it to almost every game. many critics at the time thought Nike would ruin the sneaker community by making a shoe with unknown materials. the process to make Nike "foams" was intense, with the whole upper starting as a liquid, then poured into a mold to create the seamless finish. when Nike started this process they had many trial and error but eventually got it right. the reason Nike had to charge so much for the sneaker is because the mold cost about 750000 a piece not including labor, time, packaging, shipping, and sales. in the design the foams had to have a 5 time stronger sole because the stitching and and layers were much heavier to construct. at first the Nike shoe didn't sell well at all, with parents not wanting to spend 180$ and up for the shoe. in one game , penny, playing for the Orlando magic was told his shoes were not in dress code for the teams uniform, and they did not have enough black, but like and improviser, penny broke out a black sharpie and drew on the sides of the foams to in corporate enough black. Nike later released a color way of the shoe with the same strips on the side. but in 1998 tim duncan was the first to wear the shoes in an all star game.
