23 mai 1618 - Defenestration of Prague
Description:
Three Catholic officials were thrown out of the top floor window of Prague Castle by Protestants from Bohemia. They landed in a pile of manure, but escaped alive. The Protestants held the castle, but only for a few days- the Hapsburgs were voted into power again. The Catholics said that God was protecting them, but the Protestants said that God was punishing them by having them land in sewage.
