Description:

The Edict of Nantes, an example of a pretty successful act of religious tolerance, was signed by King Henry IV of France to grant limited religious freedom to the Huguenots. It mostly appealed to both Catholics and Huguenots, and lasted for about 87 years, until King Louis XIV revoked it.
