23 déc. 1689 - William and Mary become rulers of England (Glorious Revolution)
Description:
The new Parliament of England invites Calvinists William and Mary from the Netherlands to become their King and Queen. Parliament tells them they have to give them rights to their own country. The Glorious Revolution also includes that no monarch in England can be Catholic and the monarch must be a Constitutional Monarchy. This says that a monarch is limited by power and has aid by the Parliament. The Act of Tolerance is implemented which states that any religion is tolerated in England, but Catholicism.
