- Day 477
- Abraham congratulates Rick on Carl waking up. Carl has only just managed to go to sleep and Rick himself hasn't slept all night. Abraham tells him to go and get some rest but Rick wants to search the immediate area for food and supplies today. Abraham suggests they do a run tomorrow or send Glenn and Heath out, but Rick promised not to send Glenn out and wants to go himself because he wants to make sure all resources in the area are exhausted. He wants to do things differently, a large group going together and watching each other's backs. He's going because Carl is sleeping and he's forgotten things and Rick just can't deal with that right now and needs a distraction.
- Rick asks Denise to look after Carl while he's out. Denise is against it as he's not going to be sleeping for long and when he wakes up he'll be alone and need his father with him. Rick tells her he needs to go and to just keep an eye on him.
- Rick tells Glenn that he promised Maggie to keep him here. Glenn feels like he's slacking off but decides he'll just do a patrol or something.
- The group consisting of Rick, Abraham, Andrea, Michonne, Aaron and Eric ready themselves. Rick explains that their goal today is to find food, exhaust the area of supplies and map it out. Spencer wishes them good luck which causes Andrea to give him a glare. Rick asks what'd up between them but she says there's absolutely nothing.
