21 avr. 1836 - Battle of San Jacinto

Description:

Sam Houston and Santa Anna. This Battle was only 18 minutes and the final battle. The Texans and the Mexicans set up camp in the marshes along the San Jacinto River. As Mirabeau Lamar, the future president of Texas, led the calvary to the side of the Mexican camp, the rest of the army went to the front. The Mexicans were sleeping so when the Texans attacked, they had the advantage. After only 18 minutes, the Texans won. Sam Houston had been shot in the leg so they placed him under a tree and captured Santa Anna and brought him to Houston.
