Description:

Two treaties were signed by Santa Anna after the Battle of San Jacinto. There was a public treaty and a secret treaty. Here is what they each said.
Public Treaty:
1. Never to fight against Texas 2. Mexican troops leave immediately 3. Property repair 4.Mexican and Texan prisoners to be exchanged Secret Treaty:
1. Recognize the Rio Grande as the border 2. recognize Texas as an independent country
Santa Anna did not follow through with his agreements.
