1 janv. 1923 - Rosedale Arch

Description:

The Rosedale Arch constructed in 1923, and designed by Rosedale resident John LeRoy Marshall, is inspired by the Arc de Triomphe in Paris, France. The memorial is dedicated to those who served in World War I from KCK. Later monuments have been added to memorialize other wars. It is located at the top of Memorial Drive overlooking the intersection of Rainbow and Southwest Boulevards.

Rainbow Boulevard was named for the Rainbow Division, or 42nd Infantry Division, which was composed of units from all around the United States, including Kansas.
