Fannin receiving orders to retreat from Goliad and join Houston, but he made a costly mistake by bringing along 2 heavy cannons that would delay the retreat in many occasions
-March 19, Texas troops march into an open field outside of Goliad – Coleto Creek
-Urrea surrounded them when they stopped to let their animals rest
-Number of Soldiers
Texas = 300 soldiers
Mexico = 300-500 troops
-Fannin chose to stand and fight
-Mexicans: 100~200 Casualties
-Texans: 7 to 9 killed 60 wounded
-After the loss, they would march them Back to Goliad
