Description:
- Pre-Outbreak- On March 13th, 1993 the “Storm of the Century,” as it became known, hit metro north Georgia. The snow began falling early that morning, and by the time it had tapered off, nearly three feet had fallen across parts of extreme north Georgia, with Union County reporting thirty-five inches. Athens saw slightly less than three inches of snow from the storm, but icy conditions persisted across the community.
