The White Branch KCKJC year book was called the Owaissa (until 1932), which is a native word for “Bluebird,” the school’s first mascot.
There was also The Jayhawk, which became a national award-winning school newspaper. The school formed a Debate Club, Science Club, Fine Arts Club, and a full array of sports for men and women, including a football team
