In early 1962, Kennedy formally authorized escalated involvement when he signed the National Security Action Memorandum – "Subversive Insurgency (War of Liberation)". In his short run as president Kennedy had a lot of action as he would use a lot of the US military supply and resources to try and fight off communism.
