This had the side effect of making there be less chances to farm and forced many poor farmers to find wage earning jobs both in the city and out. It was a direct step towards the industrial revolution and as it spread across europe it had similar impacts around the nation. By stirring up demographics and leading to major economic and social differences the Enclosure Act was a milestone in european change.
