Beto Romero, 16, a Gadsden High School sophomore, was struck and killed in front of his home in Berino, near Aero Lane and Pico. The man suspected of hitting him, Oscar Ivan Anchondo, 21, of Berino has been arrested and charged. He allegedly told authorities he was coming off a meth high at the time of the crash. It's the second time in as many years that Anchondo has been charged with vehicular homicide; however, that case eventually was dropped by prosecutors.Read more:
