- Loss 13% of its European territory
- Province of Alsace-Lorraine given to France
- Districts of Moresnet, Eupen and Malmedy given to Belgium
- District of Northern Schleswig given to Denmark
- District of Posen, a 'corridor' 100 kms wide to the ocean (Danzig), parts of East Prussia and Upper Silesia given to Poland
