John Dalton is responsible for the modern atomic model. He stated:- All matter contains atoms which can neither be created or destroyed.
- All atoms of an element are identical
- Atoms vary between elements, as there properties, weights, and masses differ.
- When atoms combine, they form easy whole number as there total.
