19 nov 1863 - *Gettysburg Address* It was a speech delivered during the American Civil War by President Abraham Lincoln at the dedication of the Soldiers' National Cemetery in Gettysburg. He wanted to bring together the country when it was divided by different views of the war. He also used it to reiterate his view of the purpose and future of the US.
