Description:

The first attempt by the Ottoman Empire to take over Vienna, Austria. The Siege was led by Suleiman the Magnificent. The purpose of the siege was to put John Zapolya in a place of power in civil war-torn Hungary. The siege failed, and was attempted again 150 years later. (the picture above is a map of Vienna from 1530)
