16 déc. 1773 - Boston Tea Party

Description:

On December 16, 1773, patriots, dressed in poor attempts at Mohawk Indian costumes, raided British ships from the East India Company. This followed the Tea Act, so the ships were full of tea, and there was a huge supply. All of it was dumped due to the outrage of the colonists, as despite the desire of the general people to not accept the tea, they were forced to take it. Because of the actions of the colonists, the Intolerable Acts were passed as punishment, including a ban placed on the usage of the Boston Harbor. This attempt to single out the colony of Massachusetts as an example only made the colonies yet more united.
