The Nintendo Wii was developed by Nintendo, and this time relied on wireless remotes which allowed it to do things that previous consoles could not. Firstly, the most notable aspect of the Wii is it's controllers. The controllers act as motion detectors, which allows players to perform actions in games similar to how games on the kinect or PlayStation Move would, however it would only be one arm that moves. This is prominent in games like The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, where the player would need to use the Wii remote to swing the sword around and swing it in certain directions to complete puzzles. The problem with the Wii remote was that it could not pick up more complex movements too well, which was solved with the release of the Wii Motion Plus.
