13 oct. 1863 - Reconstruction Plan

Description:

After the war and the northern victory, there were three main plans for reconstruction. The first being Lincoln's plan that stated
-10 percent of the population from each state must pledge loyalty to the United States in order to rejoin the Union
-The removal of high ranking government and military officials, taking away their power, right to vote, and property rights as punishment
-Pardoning of majority of southern population
- The accepotance of the 13th Ammendment
Next was Andrew Johnson's Plan that stated:
-50 percent of the population from each state must pledge loyalty to the United States in order to rejoin the Union
-The removal of high ranking government and military officials, taking away their power, right to vote, and property rights as punishment
-Pardoning of majority of southern population
- The accepotance of the 13th Ammendment
And finally the Radical Reconstruction Plan that stated:
-Rewriting of all state constitutions that must be accepted by stationed Union General
-Enforcement of laws through military control
-Revoking of citizenship until accept plan
