1 mars 1997 ans - Antares Auto Tune
Auto-Tune is an audio processor created by Antares Audio Technologies which uses a proprietary device to measure and alter pitch in vocal and instrumental music recording and performances. Auto-Tune was first used on GarageBand in spring of 1997. It was originally intended to disguise or correct off-key inaccuracies in vocals or instruments, so that they can be perfectly tuned despite originally being slightly off-pitch. Auto-Tune shifts pitches slightly towards the nearest true semitone. It can also be used to distort the human voice when the pitch is raised or lowered a significant amount.
