Description:

Hollyhock convinces Alex to get a diving board for the pool after she hears about how the first one was broken. They throw a birthday/diving board party in celebration for the new diving board and Alex's birthday.
After the birthday party, Alex and Hollyhock have a quiet last moment together. Hollyhock, having done some deep reflection on her life and the possibility of reincarnation, stops taking her insulin, unknown to Alex. She hopes to be reincarnated in a stronger and healthier body so she could properly enjoy life. She dies from ketoacidosis right after Alex's birthday party.
