1 août 1954 - Photo lithography Invented
Description:
Photo Lithography is the process of sending high speed beams of electrons at a surface to groove and shape tiny points on a surface. It is used even now as a method of manufacturing computer chips. As the beam materials become more complex, more computer parts could be ingratiated, thus more data can be stored. Photo lithography would cheapen the cost of production for computer modules over time, allowing IBM to condense their designs to smaller sizes as the development progressed.
